I generally dislike the final level of the game (not the Body of the Many, I love that as well as the Rickenbacker), as revisiting the starting area from the first game has no gameplay worth mentioning and it feels like a massively missed opportunity to have a mind-bending level in cyberspace spanning multiple slices of Citadel Station. The focus of this update was improving the final boss of the game.

However, between the last devblog and the present I released a major update for SS2-RSD, two updates for SS2 Scary Monsters, and three new SS2 mini-mods for which I haven’t written any development updates, so I felt it was worth documenting the work that’s already completed thus far.

Most of this article was written 6 months ago in anticipation of the 1.08 version of SS2-RSD, which became its own monster of an update with a long beta period and is still awaiting release and promotion, as I plan for it to be the final version (for now).
